Mizuhiki cord is made from Japanese Washi paper. Mizuhiki cords are produced by twisting long strips of paper into cord and then applying glue, which is dried and polished to a shine.
The cords are also wrapped in either silk or pearlescent / metalic papers, producing cords with a beautiful lustre and strength.
